Pictures Tell a Story

Some of you need these pics in order to make up work from February 8, 2012.

Here are the instructions:  We will view several pictures relating to what has been going on in Tucson. 

Your task:

1. Describe what you see.
2. Ask one question about what you see.
3. Give the picture a short title/caption.

    1.In the first picture I see a potential student who stood up for his rights and wants Arizona to let Ethnic Studies be a legal class.
    Question: What does the sign say in english, beacuse I can't read spanish?
    Caption: No Class, No Work!

    2.Precious Knowledge was a good movie and I understand on what they were trying to say. Everyone has a right to do something.
    Question:How come we can't have a classroom full of pictures.?
    Caption: Why? :(

    3. What I see is a poster that says save Ethnic Studies, Save our Stories. That is a powerful poster.
    Question: What are the books that she has in her hand?
    Caption: Can't do this.

    1.) what i see is the a guy raising his fist to show they not going down.
    2.) what is he yelling out ???

    1. I see students that stand in front of the street, and try to stop HB2281.

    2. Did anybody get in arrested for protesting?

    3. Standing up for your own history.

    5th Picture

    1 . I see a students , parents , and teachers putting the first amendment into use " Freedom Of Speech " . They're yelling out and protesting for what they believes in . When i look at this picture i see determination , commitment ,and hope . I see people who are even though being treated as if they didn't belong in this country they still hold the american flag because to them this is also their home . I also see at what seems to be an american holding up a sign saying " Arizona this is about you RACISM not your BORDERS " this shows the support from non Latinos they have .

    2. Why are they only holding american signs ?

    3. I would give this picture the tittle " The walk of Hope " i would give it this tittle because the color white reminds me of peace and hope . Also because the people who are protesting have hope that they will bring back the Ethnic Studies Program .

    I see a poster that says "save ethic studies.save our studies." it shows a girl holding books!!

    Did alot of people see this poster?

    It shows a message that represent something!!

    We question so many things is life, such as What Will I be when I grow up? Will I live in a big house? Will I travel the world with my family? When they take our education away how will we accomplish anything. Isn't an education the key to success? If they take it away how will we ever open the doors?
